John 3:30 AMP
He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]

Let people see
More of You
Less of me
For the glory of Your name
Your salt and light I wish to be. –Mt 5:13-16

More of You
Less of me
Make me who I’m meant to be
So people see
Only Christ living inside of me.

Psalm 115:1 AMP
Not to us, O Lord, not to us but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and loving-kindness and for the sake of Your truth and faithfulness!

Galatians 2:20 AMP
I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Guard My Heart & Words

August 26, 2015

Proverbs 4:23 AMP
23 Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Proverbs 18:21 AMP
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Proverbs 15:23 AMP
23 A man has joy in making an apt answer, and a word spoken at the right moment—how good it is!

Lord, help me to guard my heart and words that I may speak only life. A word fitly spoken – O what GOOD fruit it is!

Set a guard, O Lord, before my mouth; keep watch at the door of my lips. 4 Incline my heart not to submit or consent to any evil thing or to be occupied in deeds of wickedness with men who work iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties. -Ps 141:3-4 AMP

Steadfast Heart

August 20, 2015

Luke 8:15 AMP
But as for that [seed] in the good soil, these are [the people] who, hearing the Word, hold it fast in a just (noble, virtuous) and worthy heart, and steadily bring forth fruit with patience.

From ODB – What Kind Of Soil Are You?

Lord, I would be soil in which You can plant
Your Word with its promise of fruit;
I want to be open to You every day,
So what You have planted takes root. —Hess

1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].

Lord Jesus, help me to have a steadfast, immovable heart, to hear, plant and keep Your word with patience. Let Your word take root in my heart and bring forth much fruit honoring and  glorifying the Father. Amen.

#ScriprturePrayer Lord Jesus-Help me have a steadfast heart-To hear-Plant&Patiently keep Ur word-To glorify Ur name!

John 15:4-5, 8 AMP
Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. 5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

Psalm 112:7 AMP
He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed{steadfast}, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.

Thank You Lord Jesus that when our hearts are firmly fixed/steadfast, trusting in You – we will not be afraid! Keep our hearts fixed on You – Jesus Christ our Rock. Amen.

Isaiah 26;3 AMP
You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You{steadfast}, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. 4 So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].

Thank You Lord Jesus, that when our hearts are steadfast/fixed on You, we are held close to Your heart in perfect peace. Help us to trust You – our everlasting Rock! Amen.

Work In Me

August 13, 2015

I’m grateful, Lord, that You are at work in me. I want You to change my heart; please help me to listen and to cooperate with You.

Above image & prayer from ODB

Matthew 23:26 AMP
… First clean the inside of the cup and of the plate, so that the outside may be clean also.

Psalm 51:10 AMP
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

O Lord Jesus, create in me a clean and willing heart. Change me from the inside out. Help me to reflect Your goodness and encourage others to “taste and see” Your goodness too. –Ps 34:8

Walk by Faith

August 1, 2015

2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP
For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

Psalm 139:10-12 AMP
Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, 12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.

Lord, when the darkness seems to cover me and I can not see the path ahead, help me to remember that even then, Your hand will lead me and hold me fast. Help me to always trust You to walk by faith and not by sight. Amen

Lord, help me to believe Your promise to guide me by Your hand and hold me fast, especially in the dark when I can not see! Praise You Lord Jesus, the dark is as light to You!

Author and Finisher

July 9, 2015

Hebrews 12:1-2 AMP
1 Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us, 2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Philippians 1:6 AMP
6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

Psalm 40:1-2 AMP
1 I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. 2 He drew me up out of a horrible pit [a pit of tumult and of destruction], out of the miry clay (froth and slime), and set my feet upon a rock, steadying my steps and establishing my goings.

TODAY whatever you are facing, may you be reminded to fix your eyes on Jesus. Wait expectantly on Him and follow His lead. Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith will establish you on firm ground!

Praise You Lord Jesus – You are able and faithful to finish what You start!

Lord Jesus, it’s so easy to become distracted, help me to keep my focus on You the Author and Finisher of my faith!

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 AMP
23 And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah). 24 Faithful is He Who is calling you [to Himself] and utterly trustworthy, and He will also do it [fulfill His call by hallowing and keeping you].

Cry Mercy

May 30, 2015

Psalms 86:5-7 NET
5 Certainly O Lord, You are kind and forgiving,
and show great faithfulness to all who cry out to You.
6 O Lord, hear my prayer! Pay attention to my plea for mercy!
7 In my time of trouble I cry out to You,
for You will answer me.

Psalm 27:7-8 AMP
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me!
8 You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need]. My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for, and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].

Psalm 28:2, 141:2 NET

Hear my cry for mercy as I call to You for help, as I lift up my hands towards Your Most Holy Place{sanctuary}. May my prayer be set before You like incense; May the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help. Accept my prayer as incense offered to You, and my upraised hands as an evening offering.

Psalm 17:6-8 NET
6 I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.
7 Show the wonder of Your great mercy by Your right hand, O You who save/deliver those who trust in You from those who rise up against them.
8 Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings

Psalm 57:1 BBE … Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me; for the hope of my soul is in you: I will keep myself safely under the shade of your wings, till these troubles are past.

The cry above arose from David when he was hiding from Saul in a cave. His cry for mercy is doubled showing his urgent need for the Lord’s intervention. Are you sitting in a cave of darkness? A seemingly hopeless place? Needing the Lord’s intervention?

=>Double your cry for mercy! :)

More Than You Can Imagine!

May 30, 2015

Image from 365 promises

No eye has seen
No ear has heard
No heart has perceived
All that the Lord has prepared
All that He has made and keeps ready
For those who love Him
Jesus Christ …

He is able to do
More than you can imagine!

He is able to do the impossible! – Lk1:36-37

Praise You Lord Jesus – You are able to do more than we can imagine. You are able to do the impossible! Today, help us to get a glimpse of what You have prepared and made ready for us. We love You Lord Jesus!

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 AMP
9 But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]
10 Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny].

Ephesians 3:17-21 AMP
17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,
18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];
19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—
21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

22 Let Your mercy and loving-kindness{goodness}, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.

Isaiah 64:8 AMP
