Spirit and Truth

Amos 8:11 … Not a famine of bread
Nor a thirst for water
—> a famine of hearing the word of God

What is deception? Isn’t it believing a lie because the truth is not perceived – intelligently heard?

The above verse highlights the importance of being able to hear the word of God{truth}. It’s also comforting that there is no famine of bread{truth – word of God} nor thirst for water{Spirit}.

Lord open our ears and hearts to the word of God, help us to eat it. Praise You Lord Jesus, the bread of life(our daily bread) then there will be no famine{physical or spiritual} in our house! Help us to worship in Spirit and truth in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Awake My Soul

Psalm 57:7-9 AMP … My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is steadfast and confident! I will sing and make melody. 8Awake, my glory (my inner self); awake, harp and lyre! I will awake right early [I will awaken the dawn]! 9I will praise and give thanks to You, O Lord, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.

2 Corinthians 4:6 … For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Lord fix our hearts on You. Let the face of Jesus Christ, the Son, shine through our praise. We will sing and make melody in our hearts. Lord for You alone – awake our souls to sing.

Blessed Are Those Who Mourn

Matthew 5:4 NKJV … Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Matthew 5:4 MSG … You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.

Those who mourn[3996] = Synonym for: To Grieve[5932]
Grief manifested, so great that it cannot be hid. Usually accompanied by weeping/ loud wailing

Mark 16:10 … She went and told those who had been with Him, as they mourned[3996] and wept[2799].

These shall be comforted.

John 14:15-18 KJV … If ye love me, keep my commandments. 16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Lord when my heart is heavy, weighed down with grief; please help me to remember Your promise to come to me. Thank You Lord Jesus that You are our Comforter. You come along side to comfort and encourage those who belong to You. Help me to remember to look for and receive Your embrace. Thank You that after receiving the comfort that only You can give, we will be able to comfort others in Your name, Jesus Christ our Lord. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of sympathy (pity and mercy) and the God [Who is the Source] of every comfort (consolation and encouragement), Who comforts (consoles and encourages) us in every trouble (calamity and affliction), so that we may also be able to comfort (console and encourage) those who are in any kind of trouble or distress, with the comfort (consolation and encouragement) with which we ourselves are comforted (consoled and encouraged) by God. -2Cor 1:3-4 AMP

Hiding Place

Lord Jesus, thank You for being my ever-present help in my times of need. Thank You that I belong to You and am in Your care. Thank You that as I remember this I will have Your peace beyond understanding, beyond any circumstance I might face. Praise You Lord Jesus my refuge, my strength, my peace! I love You Lord!

Wholeheartedly

2 Chronicles 25:2 … Amaziah did what was pleasing in the LORD’s sight, but not wholeheartedly.

Lord, help us to have fully committed hearts, totally devoted to You. Help us to love You, our Lord Jesus Christ with all our heart, all our soul and all our might.

Lost Sheep

Thank You Lord Jesus that You, our Good Shepherd, leave the 99 to search for the one that is lost. Please help ___ find her/his way. Let her/him know that it is by Your hand that she/he is restored; that she/he has life. Praise You Lord Jesus, You are the way, the truth and the life{Jn 14:6}!

Matthew 18:12 … “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?

John 10:11 … I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

I Will NOT Leave You Comfortless
