Sharpen Your Blade

Ecclesiastes 10:10 NLT … Since a dull ax requires great strength, sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed.

From NetBible Ecc 10:10

  • The point is that it is a waste of a great deal of strength and energy. If a person is not smart, he will have to use a lot of energy and waste his efficiency.

James 1:5 NLT … If you need wisdom––if you want to know what God wants you to do––ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking.

1 Peter 4:10-11 NLT …God has given gifts to each of you from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God’s generosity{manifold unmeasured grace} can flow through you. Are you called to be a speaker? Then speak as though God Himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then God will be given glory in everything through Jesus Christ. All glory and power belong to Him forever and ever. Amen.

Lord, thank You that You have given each of us gifts from Your great variety of spiritual gifts. Give each of us willing hearts to let You grow and sharpen these gifts within us. Help us to use Your gifts wisely, in a way that is pleasing to You bringing glory to You, Father, thru Your Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank You Lord Jesus for Your gifts of grace. Help me to faithfully use my gifts to serve others in a way that is pleasing in Your sight.
Let your good deeds{light} shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. –Mt 5:16
