Prayers and Praise a Sweet Incense

Psalm 141:2 Let my prayer be set forth as incense before You, the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

O Lord, let our prayers be set forth before You

Carefully prepared, well thought out, steadfast, faithful
Unceasing, joyful, grateful, humble
A thank offering full of love
From an undivided heart full of holy fear
A pure heart united to fear and revere Your name.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. -Rom 12:12

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. –1 Thess 5:16-18

Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. -Ps 86:11

As incense

Beaten, broken and pounded
Stirred, fanned into flame
Kindled with holy fire
A pleasing, sweet smelling fragrance
Burning before Your throne.

The sacrifices of God are a broken{humble} spirit, A broken and a contrite heart––These, O God, You will not despise. -Ps 51:17

For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. -2 Tim 1:6

Along with lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

Accompanied by songs of praise and adoration
Lifted up with clean hands and pure heart
Rising as smoke from incense burning before Your altar
Rising up to Your throne.

Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully. -Ps 24:3-4

Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. -Rev 5:8

Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand. -Rev 8:3-4
